Benefits delivered
HealthcareBids was engaged by InHealth to prepare a tender for a community musculoskeletal service. To offer the complete service required, InHealth partnered with The Integrated Care Clinics. HealthcareBids worked with both organisations to articulate a compelling service proposition and draft robust responses to tender questions.
Project summary
HealthcareBids was asked by InHealth , a leading provider of diagnostic services and healthcare solutions, to assist with the preparation of its tender for a community musculoskeletal (MSK) service. Millions of people in the UK suffer from MSK conditions, ranging from arthritis and back pain to osteoporosis. Crucially, these conditions are one of the most common reasons nationally for repeat consultations with a local GP.
The key objective of the MSK service was to improve access to and patient experience of MSK treatments. This included promoting self-care options for patients with long-term MSK conditions and rehabilitation needs.
The service was to be structured to offer a brief, initial triage to all patients, as a result of which, patients could be referred back to their GP or onto secondary care, or offered a further appointment for a full assessment and appropriate treatment through the MSK service. InHealth partnered with The Integrated Care Clinics (TICCS), which has delivered rehabilitation services across the UK for more than 20 years.
Developing the MSK tender
HealthcareBids worked closely with clinical and operational staff from both organisations, helping them to articulate their integrated service proposition. We also worked with subject matter experts (SMEs) from both InHealth and TICCS, who provided the detailed insights and evidence to support detailed responses. The SMEs also helped us to identify the key messages and competitive strengths of the partnership, and these were stressed throughout the tender.
