Teleradiology technology enables radiologists to interpret medical images at a remote location, often far distant from the hospital or clinic where the images are captured. Using this technology, 4ways Healthcare provides teleradiology support to over 70 NHS trusts and to private providers.

4ways was concerned that some recent tender submissions had not fully reflected the quality, breadth and depth of expertise offered by their service. HealthcareBids was invited to help 4ways firstly through a review of a previous tender and subsequently to assist the company to complete a complex tender submission which had a turnaround time of only 2 weeks.

Project summary

HealthcareBids worked closely with the 4ways team throughout the tender window, holding several workshops and numerous discussions with subject matter experts on-site. We explored the company’s end to end processes including IT connectivity and technical capabilities, breadth of clinical expertise within the radiologist reporting panel, reporting processes and standards and clinical and quality governance processes. We produced simplified diagrams to ensure system descriptions were accessible to non-technical evaluators and wrote all tender responses, highlighting 4Ways’ competitive strengths and processes at appropriate points.

The result was a tender completed on time which was cohesive, with consistent themes throughout.
