FAQs about healthcare bid management and bid writing services
Q. How do you work with clients?
For healthcare tenders our level of support depends entirely on your needs. We can project manage the development and submission of the whole tender, including providing your internal teams with guidance and we can write some or all of the narrative responses required. Equally, if you are simply resource-challenged and need a seasoned bid writer to lend a hand for a few days, we can do that, too. Whatever the model, we will work very closely with your internal teams and subject matter experts to capture all the information required for the submission.
Q. How do you charge?
For bid management and bid writing we can either charge a set fee for a project or a fixed daily rate. The set fee will be based on the rough number of words to be written and the amount of research and discussion required to collect input material.
For service mobilisation, business development or other extended support, we can work on a day rate basis or a fixed fee, whatever works best for the project and for you.
Q. Do you focus exclusively on healthcare?
We focus on health and social care. The healthcare market is becoming increasingly integrated and has its own unique complexities and challenges; our exclusive focus on this sector brings many benefits to our clients. We focus exclusively on contracts and tenders let by Clinical Commissioning Groups, Local Authorities, NHS England and individual hospital trusts, and we support both NHS and independent providers to tender for these services. Increasingly, NHS, third sector and independent organisations are working collaboratively to offer integrated solutions and we support many tenders involving multiple partners.
Q. We‘ve got an internal bid team, but we’d like some assistance to help us prepare for the tender. Will you do that?
Yes. We will work with your team to ensure you create a watertight bid that not only answers all the questions and meets the service specification, but which also ’sells’ your organisation, making sure the commissioning team understand why you are best suited to win the contract.
Q. We‘ve got an internal bid team, but we’d like someone to review a bid. Will you do that?
Absolutely! Review by an objective, informed party is always a good idea. We review each other’s work as a matter of course. We are always happy to act as your ‘critical friend’.
Q. We’ve submitted a bid and have been invited to present to the client. Can you help with that?
Yes, indeed. We will work with your presenting team to make sure they prepare and deliver a professional presentation which addresses the topics given and are able to handle the most probing questions.
Q. Who do you work with?
We work with Community Services Providers, Mental Health Trusts, Acute Trusts, and independent sector providers. On many projects, we work with partnerships of two or more organisations who are collaborating to offer a complete, integrated service. Take a look at our client list for more details.
