Project summary
HealthcareBids has worked with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust since 2017, providing tender preparation and bid writing expertise for contracts to deliver mental health services within prison settings.
Over the last five years we have helped TEWV to retain existing contracts as well as to win new service contracts through our focus on delivering really high quality bid responses. We have worked on over ten successful bids for mental health services within prisons in England, including prisons in the North East, the North West and, most recently, in Hull and Humber in East Yorkshire.
We achieve success through working closely with local prison teams, with specialist corporate teams as well as with service delivery partners to understand the unique elements of TEWV’s successful service model.
We hold a ‘kick-off’ meeting at the beginning of each bid and throughout the tender process our bid writers liaise directly with ‘subject matter experts’ to discuss specific bid questions; guiding and prompting throughout the conversations to find the golden ‘nuggets’ that will lead to maximum quality scores.
We have clear bid project plans which we share at the outset and which help to reduce the pressure on TEWV’s colleagues who still have to manage existing services. Our Directors oversee all bid project plans to make sure timelines don’t slip and that we have the maximum amount of time to develop our bid responses. Our project management skills ensure we deliver excellent quality work while minimising the stress that comes with complex bids.
